We all know that there are some words that we really don't want our kids to say. Not that they are "bad", they just don't sound nice. For instance, in our family we try not to say hate, so if repeating someone else, we say the "h" word. Stupid is not allowed either, so sometimes we use the "s" word.
Now FART is another word that just sounds ugly. Toot, seems much more pleasant. So I told Shane that I really didn't want him to say it because it didn't sound nice. Of course, telling Shane not to say something, just makes him say it ALL THE TIME. I could deal with that, BUT...after asking me in public "Mommy can I say the "f" word?" I had to just beg him to please say Fart. Fart was better than others thinking that we use THE "f" word.

I love this. I especially love the batman post below. I am so glad you have dived into blogging. I hope you are enjoying it. I am enjoying reading about your family. See you in Feb.
I am laughing SO HARD! That's just hilarious! I can imagine your embarassment--equal to mine today when we were at Target and Leah told me she had a belly ache. I look over at her and she's flat on her back on the floor with her right leg crunched up to her chest trying to release the gas. I gave her the "look" and did the whole "yell whisper" that she was totally embarassing me! lol!
